This is my first blog post and I shall blog about my favourite destination, Greece.

I am the lucky few to have the chance to fly to Athens and I had my bestest time ever in this country!
A visit to Athens will not be completed without a visit to the Acropolis. Acropolis of Athens is listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Acropolis also means "high city" in Greek and is literally built on the tallest hill in the city.

Located on the slope to Acropolis is the Theatre of Herodes Atticus. It was built by Herodes Atticus is memory of his wife, Aspasia Annia Regilla. The theatre is still used for musical and theatrical peformances.

Great view of the city as you walk up the slope to Acropolis.

I like this birdie photo. Nice bokeh effect!

Entrance to Acropolis.

The Parthenon is a Temple on the Acropolis dedicated to the Greek Goddess Athena.

My jump shoot with The Parthenon behind me.

Erechtheum, another Greek temple in Acropolis.

Our jump shoot!

There were demonstrations going on when we were on our way back to the hotel. This is the first time that I see demonstrations in my life. Greece is a beautiful country with wonderful people and history but sadly, the country has debt crisis.
Anyway, something to share.. My name Irene is of Greek origin and the meaning of Irene is "Peace". Irene was the Goddess of Peace in ancient Greek mythology. So now you know why I am such a nice person.. Hahah!
Stay tuned folks for Part 2! ;)
